MIL-DTL-53030C TYPE 2
E90W0501 is a two component HAPS Free 2.35 lb/gal VOC Waterborne compliant, lead and chromate free epoxy primer. Meets the performance of MIL-P-53030C. It may be used as a primer under MIL-PRF-85285D (non-aircraft), Type II polyurethane topcoats, or polyurethane chemical agent resistant coatings (CARC) specified in MIL-DTL-53039D and MIL-DTL-64159B, Waterborne CARC or MIL-PRF- 22750G epoxy topcoat.
Product Features
- HAPS Free 2.35 lb/gal less water VOC at application.
- Fast drying - can be top coated in 1 hour or less depending on topcoat.
- Excellent corrosion resistance on aluminum and steel. Passes 600 hours salt spray and 40 cycles GM9540P at 1.5 - 1.7 mils dry.
- Passes 1000 hrs. salt spray, 40 cycles GM9540P at 2.0-2.5 mils dry.
- Free of lead and chromate hazards.
- Excellent hardness.
- Non isocyanate.
- No induction time needed.
- Air or force dry cure.
- Excellent chemical resistance.
