Product Information Exchange (PIE) is a private trade show being sponsored by the Moulding and Millwork Producers Association (MMPA) at the Leows Resort in Santa Monica. Every west coast manufacturer producing wood and composite building products is invited to attend…e.g. cabinets, doors, windows, shutters, furniture, moulders, etc.
Today, most people would rather not attend large trade shows for several reasons:
• Exhibitors are difficult to locate even if you know their booth number.
• 90% of the exhibitors have no relevance to your industry
• The show’s size is overwhelming.
• Total lack of privacy in the exhibitor’s booth to discuss your questions.
• Your hips, back and legs are “killing you” at the end of the day because of all the walking.
PIE intends to resolve every one of these issues by limiting the numbers of vendors (exhibitors) to 15. Vendors at PIE will be nationally recognized suppliers relevant to the wood & composite building products industry.
Each attendee has the opportunity to E-mail or call in questions they want answered with the vendor they chose to see. Your questions are answered one-on-one with the vendor in the privacy of a hotel room. No selling …just answering your questions! Each attendee has the opportunity to schedule 45 minutes in-depth interviews with the vendor(s) of their choice. Attendees schedule appointments with as many vendors as needed.
Vendors: 3M (abrasives), National Casein (adhesives) Valspar & Sherwin-Williams (primers and finishes), Weining, Makor / Stiles Machinery, West Coast Machinery, Lumberman’s Underwriters Alliance (property & causality insurance) ISIS wood Products Solutions (software for wood process machinery), CS Industries (moisture meters and rough mill equip.), Vigilant (legal counsel for employees), Arauco-USA (International lumber supplier), Plum Creek (National MDF supplier)
Costs: Non-members of MMPA pay $250.00 (members free). Fee includes lunch and evening social. Room rates are approximately $200.00/night
